From a small store opened 55 years ago in Douradina, Paraná, Gazin has become one of the largest companies in Brazil, with over 300 retail stores in 9 states, as well as 5 mattress and upholstery factories, 1 spring industry, and 13 merchandise distribution centers. At the time, Mr. Mário Gazin, then 16 years old, worked at one of the many stores struggling with the financial crisis facing the country. When he heard that the owner intended to sell the establishment, Mário immediately recognized a business opportunity. His vision for the future was shared with his father Alfredo Gazin, who wasted no time and traded the family's jeep and part of their farm for the store. By seeing opportunities where many only saw crisis, Mário began Gazin's success story on December 13, 1966.

This journey of success was only possible thanks to the company's overall concept: "Always doing our best for You." More than just a slogan, this philosophy is experienced daily by the over 9,000 employees of the group.
